Five places to actually get work done
Every study spot on campus has its own personality. Here's what to expect from each one, so you can pick the right fit for the kind of studying you have planned.
Often overlooked, but frequently named a favorite by the students who study there. The ILCB offers plenty of spots to spread out and stays quiet between classes, with a nice building layout that makes it easy to settle in for a long session.
Evans is the most popular study spot on campus for a reason. It has the most available seating of any building on this list, with multiple floors to choose from — pick a talkative floor for group work or a quiet one for solo focus.
Zachry has no shortage of interesting spots to study. It's mainly filled with engineering majors, which makes it noticeably less crowded than the main campus study hubs — a solid pick if you want fewer distractions.
A true hidden gem. The Med Sci Library draws mostly students from related programs, which keeps it noticeably quieter and less populated than Main Campus — a good option if you're after a change of scenery.
Widely considered the quietest room in the Memorial Student Center, the Flag Room has an atmosphere that's hard to beat for focused studying. Just bring headphones — the piano in the corner gets played from time to time, and on a good day, it actually adds to the ambiance.
